For the first year, a Taply Card + Profile costs $100: $45 upfront, which includes the first month of hosting, plus $5 a month for the next 11 months. A Taply Card Only costs $25 once. A box of 500 standard paper cards usually runs $20 to $50, and premium paper cards $100 to $250 or more, so paper can be cheaper up front. The difference shows up when your details change, or when you want the card to do more than show a phone number.
What does each option cost?
| Option | Year one | After year one | When your details change |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 standard paper cards | About $20 to $50 per order | Reorder when you run out | Reprint the whole box |
| 500 premium paper cards | About $100 to $250 or more per order | Reorder when you run out | Reprint the whole box |
| Taply Card Only | $25 | $0 | The card opens your own link, so you update that page |
| Taply Card + Profile | $100 ($45 + 11 × $5) | $60 a year ($5/month) | Request profile updates while hosting is active |

When is paper still the better choice?
Paper wins if you hand out hundreds of cards at events, rarely change jobs or numbers, and only need people to have your name and number. It is cheap, needs no phone, and everyone knows what to do with it.
When does a digital card pay off?
A tap card pays off when you meet people one at a time and need them to act: save your number, book a time, look at your work or leave a review. Paper asks them to type your number in later. A Taply card puts your contact in their phone while you are standing there.
It also pays off when things change. A new title, cell number, booking link or social account means a full reprint on paper. With Card + Profile, the card keeps opening the same profile address, and the details on it can be updated while hosting is active.
What about the cards nobody keeps?
Every salesperson knows the feeling of watching a card go into a pocket and never hearing back. A digital card does not fix a weak conversation, but it removes the step where the other person has to find your card later and type in your number. That is the step where many paper cards get lost.
Can I use both?
Yes. Plenty of people keep a small stack of paper cards for events and use a Taply card for one-on-one meetings, where saving a contact on the spot matters most.
Quick answers
Is there a monthly fee for every Taply card?
No. Card Only has no monthly fee. Card + Profile includes the first month of hosting, then $5 a month per hosted profile.
How many people can I share one Taply card with?
As many as you meet. You tap the same card to each person's phone, so you never run out.
